Update Employee Performance Goals

This guide will cover:

  • Adding one specific goal to multiple reports who are part of a team.
  • Adding a goal for one direct report/employee on your team.
  • Reviewing/editing a goal for one direct report/employee on your team.

This guide details the steps for completing this process using Supervisor/Manager WyoCloud access.  Note: If you do not see the features described in this guide, your assigned WyoCloud training is likely incomplete.  This training is available within HCM under My Profile > Learning > Required Learning.

 

Step One

Navigate to the Goals and Performance Overview section of WyoCloud HCM.

  • Upon logging into WyoCloud from WyoWeb, navigate to My Team using the Navigator bar in the upper left corner.

  • First click My Team to expand, then Performance Overview.

  • The Goals and Performance Overview page will display.

 

Adding a Team Performance Goal

  • The current review period will display at the top. Select the correct Review Period.

Note: The Performance Review page will always default to the most current review period. To review past goals, click the down arrow next to the review period name and you will see past review periods.

  • All your direct reports will be listed under My Team. Use the checkboxes next to the employee names to select the direct reports you want to add a team goal for.

  • Select Add Performance Goal.

  • The Add Performance Goal page will open.
    • The employees selected for your team goal will be listed under the Selected Employee section.

 

The Include myself check box allows you to include yourself in the team goal. Check or uncheck as you see fit.

Allow worker to update key attributes will default as checked. This allows the employee to update the goal after creation to reflect status of completion. Unchecking this category will keep status updating under supervisor control. Check and uncheck per employee as you see fit.

 

  • Under Basic Info, enter the team goal details.
    • You can select a Library Goal from the drop-down or create a new goal. For the purpose of this guide, a new goal will be created.
    • Enter a Goal Name and Description.
    • The Start Date and Target Completion Date will auto-populate based on the review period. These dates can be changed if desired.

Note: Required information will have an asterisk next to the title.

  • When ready to finalize the new goal, click Submit in the top right corner.

This completes the process for Adding a Team Performance Goal.

 

Adding an Employee Performance Goal

  • Complete Step One so you are on the Goals and Performance Overview page.
  • Under the My Team section, locate the employee you want to add a goal for.
    • Click the hyperlink under Performance Goals.

  • The Goals page will open listing the employee’s Performance Goals for the current review period.

Note: The Goals page will always default to the most current review period. To review past goals, click the down arrow next to the review period name and you will see past review periods. Goals added to the current review period will pull into the current evaluation (e.g.: goals added to the 2021 review period will pull into the 2021 evaluation).

 

  • Click the +Add button.

  • The Add Performance Goal page will open.
    • You can select a Library Goal from the drop-down or create a new goal. For the purpose of this guide, a new goal will be created.
    • Enter a Goal Name and Description.
    • The Start Date and Target Completion Date will auto-populate based on the review period. These dates can be changed if desired.

Note: Required information will have an asterisk next to the title. 

  • When ready to finalize the new goal, click Save.

Reviewing/Editing an Employee Performance Goal

  • Complete Step One so you are on the Goals and Performance Overview page.
  • Under the My Team section, locate the employee you want to review/edit a goal for.
    • Click the hyperlink under Performance Goals.

  • The Goals page will open listing the employee’s Performance Goals for the current review period.

 

Note: The Goals page will always default to the most current review period. To review past goals, click the down arrow next to the review period name and you will see past review periods. Goals added to the current review period will pull into the current evaluation (e.g.: goals added to the 2021 review period will pull into the 2021 evaluation).

 

 

  • Click the up/down arrows in the bottom right corner of a goal to collapse/expand goal details.

  • Locate the goal you want to edit, and click the pencil icon to the right of the goal name.

  • Click Save when finished editing the goal.

Note: Only individual employee goals can be edited. To edit a team goal, the goal editing process must be completed separately for each team member.

This completes the process for Reviewing/Editing an Employee Performance Goal.
