Updating Personal Information: Personal Details

Tags WyoCloud hcm

This guide will cover:

  • Accessing and updating Personal Details including race, ethnicity, veteran and disability self-identification.

This guide details the steps for completing this process using Employee WyoCloud access.  Note: If you do not see the features described in this guide, your assigned WyoCloud training is likely incomplete.  This training is available in the Employee LearnCenter under My Learning Plans.

Although not required, UW encourages all employees to use this page to self-identify their ethnicity, disability and veteran status.

Step One

  • Upon accessing the WyoCloud homepage from WyoWeb, navigate to Personal Information using the Navigator bar.

  • First click My Profile to expand, then Personal Information.

Step Two

  • Once at the Personal Info page, select Personal Details.

  • Here you will see your current Name, Demographic and Biographical Information.
  • In the Name section you can update your Preferred Name field to change the name displayed throughout many UW systems (including email).  Note this should only be changed to a professional preferred name.
  • Click the pencil icon to the right of the page to update.

Note: Changing the First and/or Last Name fields on this page initiate a legal name change.  Legal name changes require supplying Human Resources with documentation of this change (updated Social Security card). If documentation is not presented to Human Resources either in person (139 Wyoming Hall) or via fax (307-766-5607), the name change will be rejected.

  • In the Demographic Info section, Highest Education Level and Veteran Status can be changed.
  • Use the pencil icon to the right of this section to make changes.

  • After making all needed updates to this section, click Submit.  Although there is an option to add Comments and Attachments, they are not required.

  • The National Identifiers section includes your residency and social security information.  These fields can only be updated by Human Resources.
  • In the Biographical Section you can self-identify your race and ethnicity information. You may need to click the arrow to the right of the section to expand.
  • Click the pencil icon to the right of this section to update.

  • After all updates are completed, click Submit.  Although there is an option to add Comments and Attachments, they are not required.

  • In the Disability Info section, information can be added and/or edited.  Click the Add button to add.

You have now completed Updating Personal Information: Personal Details.
