Change Your UW Password (From Wyoweb)

Your UW account is the account that you use to access WyoCourses, UW email and to log on to your UW office computer or the UWSTUDENT lab computers. Therefore, changing your UW domain account password will change it for all of these services at once.

For faculty, staff and students, changing a password can be done at a campus computer, online (click here), through the password reset tool if you are enrolled, or by calling the IT Help Desk at 307 766-HELP (4357), Option 1, during normal business hours.

**Changing your password can cause your account to become locked as mobile devices (such as phones and tablets) that connect automatically to email or wifi try to connect with your old password.  See reasons your UW account could be locked, and how to correct it.

If you feel you need to change your password for any reason, you can do so by simply going to WyoWeb.

1. At the login screen, check the "I want to change my password" check box and enter your current username and password, then click Logon

2. Enter your new password.

Note: Be sure to follow the password reset requirements. if these requirements are not met, your password will stay the same after 3 invalid attempts.

Once your password is changed successfully, there will not be a "success" message notification: you will simply be taken to the resource you were attempting to access.
