Email Accounts for Former UW Employees

Introduction

This request is to extend email services beyond the final day of employment for UW Faculty or Staff because it is needed for institutional benefit. These extended services are not currently available with the user process. 

Available to

UW Faculty or Staff departing the university.

Procedure

Accounts can remain open based on the approval by the Dean\Director\VP of the faculty or staff's department and Director of Application and Customer Relations. The Director of Application and Customer Relations will evaluate the impact of each request and grant or deny each request. Email services may be extended for up to 30 days after the employee’s final day of employment. If the account is needed past 30 days, the department should purchase an individual special account.
