UWIT Project Request Intake Form

Why does UWIT have a new process for reviewing proposed IT projects?

The project review process ensures that institutional resources are directed towards initiatives that are strategically aligned, appropriately resourced, financially responsible, technically supportable, and positioned for successful delivery. The purpose of the new project review process is to enable UWIT to say yes to the right project, at the right time, with the right level of support.

What is a project?

A project is a multi‑step effort with an identified sponsor, defined start and end date, clear scope, associated costs, and a measurable impact.

When will my project be reviewed?

After submitting your UWIT Project Request Intake Form, you will receive an email confirming that your request has been successfully submitted. The request will then be reviewed by the UWIT Project Intake Review Committee, which includes the UWIT Vice President and departmental directors.

Following the committee's review, you will receive an update on the status of your proposed project. A member of the UWIT team will contact you after the initial review, and Emma-Jane Alexander, UWIT Portfolio Manager, will serve as your primary point of contact throughout the process, providing ongoing communication and engagement as the project advances.
