In order to import survey data into UW Qualtrics, you need a Qualtrics survey, the survey needs to match the format (type of question, etc) and the data format (date, string, currency, etc), of the old survey. 

Create UW Qualtrics Survey

1. Click on Projects
2. Create new project (I believe that if a project already exist that they should just be able to add a new survey to the project.)
3. Click on CoreXM
4. Click on Survey (screen shot of Survey hyperlink)
5. Name project, click on Blank Project
6. Click on Get Started

Once the survey is creating in Qualtrics, log in to the UWYO Survey Tool (legacy system) and export the survey out of the tool.  Once exported, remove the survey from the UWYO survey Tool.

Follow these instructions to export surveys from the UWYO Survey Tool

1. Export your response data (saves a copy of responses)
   1. Click on Analyze
   2. Select Export Data
   3. Configure the desired export and data formats.  Data should be in a CSV export format for import into UW Qualtrics. (If you are unsure about how to properly export data, contact the UWIT HelpDesk.)
   4. Click Export
   5. Open the exported data file and verify that it is accurate and in the desired format.
   6. Save the exported data file in an appropriate location.
2. Clear the survey responses (click on the X in the Clear column)
3. Archive the survey (click on Archive)
4. Delete the survey (click on Delete)

Import the file into UW Qualtrics

1. Navigate to the Data section on the Data & Analysis tab.
2. Click on Export & Import.
3. Select Import Data.
4. Click Browse and select the file you wish to upload.
5. If desired, adjust your Delimiter. Generally this is set to Comma for CSV.
6. Click Upload.
7. On the next window, you can check whether your fields are pulling in correctly and assign different values.
8. Click Import Responses.
