Quickly Create Rules In Outlook

Introduction

Sometimes an email may come through such as an ad or something you just don't want coming into your mailbox that cannot be added to the UW spam filter, this is a quick way to stop receiving emails from that sender.

Note: This will not work on the mobile application. You need to do it via desktop.

Procedure

1. On the unwanted email, right click and select Rules ---> Create Rule

2. Under Create Rule, select the From box and the Move the item to folder box.

3. Select the folder you wish to send this and any future emails from the specific sender to the folder you select.

4. Once the folder is selected, click OK. You may be prompted to run this rule now, go ahead and select the checkbox and select OK once more.

You have just now created a rule and will no longer need to worry about receiving messages from that specific email.
