Note: Installs are to be done only on University of Wyoming owned equipment.
University staff will be testing the upgrade, Trimble Positions, as soon as the EDU license is released and will make the upgrade available as soon as possible.
1. Download Trimble GPS Pathfinder Office at: http://www.trimble.com/globalTRLTAB.asp?Nav=Collection-4552
2. Save the file to a local drive and extract the contents of the zip file to a folder.
3. Navigate to the GPS Analyst installation files extracted and double-click Autorun.exe.
4. Click Run on the Windows Open File – Security Warning (if applicable) and in the Trimble splash screen that appears click Install then click Install GPS Pathfinder Office.
5. Click Yes on the Windows User Account Control warning (if applicable) and in the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for GPS Pathfinder Office screen, click Next >
6. Accept the License Agreement by clicking Yes.
7. Enter User and Company Name: University of Wyoming – WyGISC, click Next >
8. Choose Install GPS Pathfinder Office using a floating license obtained from a license manager on the network and click Next >
9. In the Server Address screen, type in the server address provided by emailing itsoftw@uwyo.edu and click Test, then click Next > Note: You can continue installation if license server connection fails. Contact userhelp@uwyo.edu if license connection fails.
10. In the Setup Type screen, leave the defaults or choose Custom if you want to change the installation directory or options installed, and click Next >
11. Do not check options in the Automatically Start Programs screen and click Next >
12. In the Start Copying Files screen, click Next >
13. In the InstallShield Wizard Complete screen, make sure Yes, check for program updates is selected, and click Next >
14. In the GPS Pathfinder Office Updater screen, click Next >
15. In the Choose the location of the updates choose The Trimble web site, click Next >
16. Choose the updates to download and install and click Next > (click Yes to any security warnings)
17. In the Updates completed screen, click Finish.
18. When complete close the Install splash screen. There is no need to install the “Mapping & GIS License Manager”.
19. Delete the extracted installation file folder and original downloaded zip file.
