Install Minitab Subscription

NOTE: Functional knowledge and use of this application is the responsibility of the user.

Introduction

Information Technology provides the statistical package Minitab for a yearly fee for faculty and staff use on university owned computers. Contact IT Software services by emailing itsoftw@uwyo.edu for pricing and ordering information.

 

Procedure

Before starting this procedure, it is recommended that all open documents be saved and any open applications be closed.

1. You will get an email from Minitab when your account has been created.  Click on the link to get started.

 

2. You will be brought to a Sign In page where you will enter your UW email address, click Next, and then you will be taken to the WyoLogin page.

3. You will need to accept the Minitab agreement by checking the check box at the bottom of the screen and clicking Accept.
   

 

4. Click Download Desktop App on the this screen and wait for the file to download.

 

5. On the Welcome to Minitab Setup window, click Next.

 

6. Click Next on the Welcome screen.
   

 

7. On the Minitab Setup window, click Yes.
   

 

8. On the End-User License Agreement window, check the box next to “I accept the terms in the License Agreement” and click Next.

 

9. On the Read to install Minitab screen, click Install.
   

 

10. On the Completed Minitab Setup window, click Finish.

 

11. When you open Minitab, you will be prompted to select your license type and you want to select the radio button for Sign in and click Sign In.  This will take you to the same login screen as the start of the install.
