On January 12, 2016, Microsoft will no longer distribute security patches for Internet Explorer for versions 10 and earlier. This means that Internet Explorer versions 10 and earlier will become insecure. Due to the security risks, the University of Wyoming will be updating to Internet Explorer version 11. We realize that this may cause some incompatibility issues for some of our users. Below are instructions on how to add a local intranet zone to internet security options, in order to avoid compatibility issues.
Procedure
1. Go to your Start menu and select Control Panel.
2. Click Internet Options.
3. Click Security and select Local Intranet.
4. Then click Sites.
5. Click Advanced.
6. Under "Add this website to the zone": enter: http://fsteller.uwyo.edu
Then click Add.
This should allow your pages to display correctly. If you continue to experience problems, please feel free to contact the Help Desk at 1-307-766-4357 (6-HELP), opt. 1.
