Firefox Pop-ups

Introduction

Pop-ups are windows that appear automatically without your permission. Some websites will require pop-ups in order to access essential functions. To enable these functions, while keeping all other sites blocked, you can grant exceptions to these sites by adding them to a list.

Procedure

Click the hamburger menu icon at the top right of your browser.

In the drop-down menu, select 'Settings'.

In the settings browser tab, locate 'Privacy & Security' on the left-hand side of the page.

Scroll down until the 'Block pop-ups and third-party redirects' option is found, and ensure this option stays checked. Click on the option below that says 'Manage pop-up and third-party redirect exceptions'.

A new window will open. Here, website addresses can be added to enable pop-ups for specific websites. Enter any websites that need to have this enabled and click 'Save Changes' when finished. Any changes made will then take effect.
