Changing Administrative, Moderators, And Posters Passwords

Introduction 

The University allows authorized administrators of a distribution list to manage the following passwords through the Admin Portal: 

  • Administrative Password | Moderator Password | Poster Password

Note: To change any of these passwords, you must know the current Administrative Password.

  • If the Administrative Password has been forgotten: Please submit a password request by following this LINK, and completing the "Request Admin Password" form.

Changing Administrative Password 

Step 1: Navigate to https://lists.uwyo.edu/mailman/admin/ListName to open the distribution list's admin page. Here ensure you log-in by entering the lists password 

  • Note: ListName should be replaced with the name of your distribution list

Step 2: Once you are logged-in, the General Options Section should appear. Here, navigate to and select "Passwords"

Step 3: Once you are in the Passwords section, navigate to the "Enter new administrator password" section. Here, you will be able to reset the administrative password for the distribution list and then select "Submit You changes" to complete the process.

Changing Moderators Password 

Step 1: Navigate to https://lists.uwyo.edu/mailman/admin/ListName to open the distribution list's admin page. Here ensure you log-in by entering the lists password 

  • Note: ListName should be replaced with the name of your distribution list

Changing Posters Password 

Step 1: Navigate to https://lists.uwyo.edu/mailman/admin/ListName to open the distribution list's admin page. Here ensure you log-in by entering the lists password 

  • Note: ListName should be replaced with the name of your distribution list
