iPad/iPhone Screen Sharing is Not Working in Zoom

Introduction

Zoom updated their platform and enabled a setting that toggles screen sharing and limits screen sharing to specific applications. With limited screen sharing enabled, you cannot share your screen or share an entire desktop screen or iPad. If you would like to continue sharing your entire desktop screen or iPad, you will need to turn off this setting.

Procedure

Step 1

Sign in to Zoom Web portal: zoom.us/signin on your desktop and choose the SSO option.

Sign-in interface with an input field for email or phone number, a "Next" button, and options for signing in with SSO, Apple, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft.

You will be redirected to the WyoLogin page. Log in with your UWYO credentials.

Step 2

On the left-hand side, click Settings and under the Meeting tab. You may click this link to direct you to this page: https://zoom.us/profile/setting

Zoom account settings page with the “Meeting” option highlighted in the left sidebar.

Step 3

Click In Meeting (Basic). Scroll down until you reach the option that says screen sharing and make sure your settings have screen sharing enabled, disable desktop screen sharing for meetings you host enabled, and toggle who can share to your preferences (if you wish to give others the ability to share their iPad/iPhone screen).

Meeting settings menu with “In Meeting (Basic)” outlined in orange.

Screen sharing setting enabled, with explanatory text about allowing hosts and participants to share screens or content.

Settings option for disabling desktop screen sharing, with the blue toggle switched on and a “Modified” label below.
