Creating an Account for Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching

Introduction

Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is a subscription-based offering for accredited schools and departments providing access to tools commonly used in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs. It provides professional developer and designer tools, software, and services from Microsoft to your faculty and students. It includes our latest technologies and cloud services to inspire and excite students. And,it provides educators a diverse set of resources to ensure their classrooms challenge, engage, and motivate students in new ways.

Software that is acquired through your Azure Dev Tools for Teaching subscription is only for instructional and research purposes; it cannot be used for administrative or commercial purposes.

Procedure

  1. Go to the site:  https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com/devtools
  2. Click on the "Sign In" button
  3. Enter in your @uwyo.edu email address

  4. You will be directed the the Wyo Login page.  Re-enter your uwyo username and password.

  5. You may be prompted to "Stay signed in", click Yes or No, depending on your preference.  
  6. You will be directed to a page indicating that your Academic Status was verified.  Review and if you agree, click on the "I Agree to the subscription..." and click Accept terms button.

  7. You will be direct to the Azure portal and will be prompted to take a tour.  We recommend taking a tour so you are able to see how to navigate the portal and what programs and services are available.  

You can log off when complete.  To access the portal in the future, go to  https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com/devtools and log in using your uwyo.edu email address.
