Please only use this article if your computer has received Microsoft Patches to mitigate the recent Microsoft Office vulnerabilities indicated in this article (which as of this article's creation have NOT been released by Microsoft).
- Run Command Prompt as Administrator.
In the search box, type “CMD”. Select the “Run as administrator” option.
Select “Yes” on the User Account Control.
- To restore the registry key, execute the command “reg import filename”
Run the command reg import MSDT_Protocol_Backup in the Administrator command prompt by typing in the command and selecting return.
You have now restored the registry key
