Presenting with WyoShare

WyoShare

WyoShare enables wireless presentation from most devices, including iOS, Android, and Mac and PC laptops. Currently it is available in over 80 classrooms and meeting rooms on campus. If your classroom is enabled with WyoShare, select it with the WyoShare icon on the touch panel at the lectern, and confirm your device is connected to the UWyo WiFi network.

Note: As of Fall 2016, WyoShare is available in all 'general pool' classrooms. To determine if a classroom is categorized as being in the general pool, see the list here.

You must be connected to UWyo WiFi. UWguest will NOT work.

To use WyoShare from a Mac or PC:

  1. Open a browser and enter the IP address displayed at the top left of the projected display.
  2. If you do not have the plugin already installed, you’ll be directed to a download page. Select, download, and run the plugin appropriate for your laptop type.
  3. Run the downloaded plugin. A small popup will appear on your screen.
  4. Enter the code shown at the top right of the display.
  5. You can move or minimize the popup control and use the Stop and Play buttons to respectively stop or start the mirroring.

To use WyoShare from an iOS or Android device:

  1. Install MirrorOp Presenter from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Select the media you want to share and press the play button.
  3. The app will do a search for players within range. If your classroom's WyoShare is detected, you may select it. If it is not displayed, enter the IP address shown on the room’s projection screen or display.
  4. Next enter the 4-digit code that’s displayed at the top right of the projection screen or display.
