Introduction
UW students and benefited faculty and staff are eligible to install the full version of Office Pro Plus as part of UW's Office 365 subscription. Other Microsoft subscriptions can be purchased by departments here.
From your UW email account, you have 5 licenses that can be installed on PC or MAC, or on mobile devices.
Procedure
- Go to wyoweb.uwyo.edu and click on the email button and sign in.
- Once signed in, click on the app launcher in the top left hand corner of the screen.
- Then click the More apps button in the list of apps.
- On the right-hand side, you’ll see the Install apps. Click the down arrow. Select Microsoft 365 apps. This is the correct button for all Microsoft subscriptions, Office, Visio, Project, etc.

You will see your Office account and the option to Install Office, click Install Office to start the installation file download.

If you have purchased any other Office products like Project or Visio, click on Apps & Devices and click Install for the product you want to install.
7. The installation file will download and you will need to click on that downloaded file.
8.On the Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? Click Yes. If you are prompted for an admin login, we can give you admin access to your computer by connecting with us at support.uwyo.edu.
An install screen will appear. Please wait patiently for the software to install.
9.After the installation is complete, you’ll see the following screen. Click Close
10.Open any Office 365 app and make sure the Allow my organization to manage my device is unchecked. Click Yes
