In reference to Microsoft Teams Storage, files and folders that you store in a Teams channel are housed in the site associated with your Team. To check your available Teams storage, you will need to check the corresponding SPO Site storage by following the instructions in this article.
To see this information for your SPO Site or Site Collection, you must be an owner of that site.
SharePoint Storage
- Go to WyoWeb and click the email button.
- From the apps list, click the SharePoint icon.
- Navigate to site to check storage.
- In the right hand corner, click the gear and then the link to Site Settings.
- Under Site Collection Administration, select Storage Metrics.
- On this page, you will see your total storage usage for the site as a whole. In addition, there is a list of different folders with their information including the size of the asset and the last date of modification.
Teams Storage
- Open Microsoft teams.
- Click on the desired team.
- Click on Files along the top row.
- Click on Open in sharepoint along the top. Depending on the Team it might show under the ...
- A new window will open with the Sharepointe site for the Team. Click the Site Contents on the left-hand pane.
- Click on the Site setting with the cog wheel symbol next to it on the right.
- Click on the Storage Metrics located within the Site Collection Administration header.
- Now On this page, you will see your total storage usage as "#.## GB free of #.## GB". In addition, there is a list of different folders with their information including the size of the asset and the last date of modification.
Your department may request additional storage for its Microsoft Team, SPO Site, or SPO Site Collection when nearing the site quota by submitting a request using the Additional Storage for Teams or SharePoint Service Catalog item.
