What is Power BI?
Power BI is an interactive data visualization software product developed by Microsoft with a primary focus on business intelligence.

Using Reports in PowerBI
Filtering on PowerBI Reports
- The filters pane on the right side of reports will show any applied filters, and allows users to further filter down reports
- Users are also able to reset filters utilizing the green reverse arrow
- Some reports will also allow you to further expand the data. Right click on a numeric value, and select show data point as a table.
- Below shows the results of the data points as a table
Subscribing (Scheduling) to PowerBI Reports
- Users can schedule reports to automatically run. Navigate to the report to be scheduled.
- The filtering used on the report when you click "Subscribe to report" will be the filters on the scheduled report.
- This will open up your subscriptions, click on create a subscription.
- Enter the required information below:
- Subscription Name
- Start Date
- Repeat
- Schedule Time
- Time Zone
Exporting PowerBI Reports
Users can export data from Power BI into Excel to further anaylze.
- Hover over the report to get the menu options to appear in the top-right corner.
- Click on the three dots, and then click "Export Data".
- Export data using the "Data with Current Layout" option.
