Systems and Applications that Require Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication for Systems and Applications

In today's cyber threat landscape, static login credentials alone are no longer sufficient to protect our systems and data.  These credentials are highly susceptible to phishing and offline cracking (if the corresponding password hashes are exposed).  Two-Factor Authentication adds a dynamic component to logins, which significantly mitigates this risk.

At the University of Wyoming, Two-Factor Authentication will be required for all off-campus logins accessing UW systems and applications on October 16, 2018.

The University of Wyoming is utilizing Duo for its Two-Factor Authentication capabilities.  Below are the Systems and Applications that require Two-Factor Authentication at UW when you are not on the campus network.

Two-Factor Authentication to these applications will be required when you are logging into these systems through the web application to do your job when you are not on the campus network.  Responding via email to approvals or leveraging the mobile application to these systems will not require two-factor authentication.
