All UW Exchange users should receive on a regular basis an email message from PureMessage listing blocked (quarantined) spam messages.
To request that a message be released from the quarantine and delivered to you, click on the messages ID. Clicking on the message ID will create an email. Do not make any modifications to the email address, simply send the message. To release all messages in the list, you can simply reply to the quarantine list message. Messages are stored for 14 days, after which time they are deleted and cannot be recovered.
How to Opt-Out of Spam Message Blocking
To opt-out of spam blocking and continue to have spam tagged and delivered to your Inbox, log into the UW Spam Account Management website, select Options and check the box: "Disable spam content blocking for my messages."
You can also view blocked (quarantined) messages, approve (whitelist) senders, block (blacklist) senders, and delete blocked messages through the UW Spam Account Management website.
If you have a professional email name, please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance, as you will no longer be able to use the UW Spam website. You may continue to release Blocked spam messages from the UW Quarantined Messages emails.
Please contact the IT Help Desk at 766-HELP, option 1, or userhelp@uwyo.edu if you have any comments or concerns.
