Completing the Employment Application as a Direct Hire

This guide will cover:

  • Completing the Application for a Direct Hire.

Prior to beginning this process, you should have received the application link from your hiring manager.   The email should look something like this:




Please follow the link below to submit your application for the direct hire to Pooled Position Limited Tempor (20001234). You have three (3) business days to complete this.




If you have not received this, please contact your Hiring Manager for further instruction.

Failure to provide accurate information or respond to any requests for action by either your Hiring Manager or the Staffing Partner could result in delays to your hire. Please fill out all information carefully and complete all necessary steps.  


Step One

Follow application link provided.

  • This will take you to the position posting. Once you have reviewed the job description, click “Apply Online”.

  • Enter username and password. (Please note: this is not necessarily the same login for your UWYO email address.)

  • If you have never applied for a UW position before, you will need to create a new account. Click New User. Create a User Name and Password and provide your email address.

  • Please review our Privacy Agreement and respond appropriately.

Declining the Privacy Agreement is declining to apply.  As application is required for hire, this would be declining the position.  


Step Two

Complete the application

  • Upload resume. *Note, you will also have the opportunity to review/add attachments later in the application.

  • Fill out all necessary personal information. This will include your Social Security Number (SSN), Date of Birth (DOB), and gender.  *Note, please double check to make sure that all personal information is correct and all contact information is current.

  • Answer the application questionnaire appropriately. Read each question carefully for understanding and clarity.
    • Contact Human Resources at 307-766-2377 to provide necessary documentation, if required.

  • Attach all necessary files (resume, cover letter, etc). Make sure to carefully read position description to know what materials are required.

Upload all documents and Attach. If you would like an attachment to be considered as part of your submission, please mark the document as “Relevant”. Attachments that are uploaded but not marked as “Relevant” cannot be reviewed by the Hiring Manager.


DO NOT DELETE any attachments once uploaded. Deleting attachments from your profile will also delete them from any other applications they were attached to. Consequently, they cannot be viewed by the Hiring Manager and may affect your consideration for this position. If you have any questions or issues about the application process or issues with the attachments section, please contact HR during normal business hours at 307-766-2377.

  • Please fill out the Diversity Survey. This information is confidential and will NOT be used in the hiring decision.

  • Read and complete the E-Signature. Please enter your full name if you agree with the terms and conditions set forth and to certify that all information is accurate.

  • Review and Submit Application. *Note, you can make edits to you application at any time up until the position is no longer posted.

Step Three

Work with your Hiring Manager and Staffing Partner to complete all other necessary hiring steps. This may include, but is not limited to, background checks, the Form I-9, a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and reviewing and accepting your official job offer.
